What Is Grade 53 Cement?

This types of cement grades gives a compressive test result of 53 N/mm2 after 28 days. Grade 53 cement is tested under standard conditions as per Indian standards. The setting time of 53-grade cement is less than that of 43-grade cement.

This types of cement grades is mostly used for structural purposes of high rise buildings. The use of 53-grade cement is suitable for making concrete above M25. It is mainly used in prestressed concrete.

Difference Between 33, 43 and 53 Grade of Cement

1. Grade of Cement: Initial strength

  • The initial strength of 53-grade cement is found to be higher than 33 grade and 43 grade.
